Nobbys SLSC is committed to the protection, welfare, and wellbeing of all its members. We are dedicated to providing a safe, fun, and enjoyable environment, as outlined in the SLSA Member Protection Policy. We embrace an inclusive approach, ensuring all members are treated with respect and dignity and are protected from discrimination, harassment, and abuse, regardless of gender, age, ability, or nationality.

Code of Conduct

Nobbys SLSC expects all members, supporters and associates of the club to respect the SLSA Code of Conduct and recognise that they have a responsibility to a duty of care to all SLSA members at all times.

SLSA General Code of Conduct

  • Respect the rights, dignity and worth of others
  • Be fair, considerate and honest in all dealings with others, and be a positive role model
  • Make a commitment to providing quality service
  • Be aware of, and maintain an uncompromising adhesion to SLSA’s standards, rules, regulations and policies
  • Demonstrate a high degree of individual responsibility especially when dealing with persons under 18 years of age
  • Contribute to the provision of a safe environment to the conduct of all activities within surf lifesaving.

Surf Life Saving Team Leaders, Team Managers, Age Managers, Coaches, Officials, Athletes, Administrators/Directors/Officers and Parents/Guardians are also bound by additional Codes of Conduct depending on their roles within the organisation.

Child Protection – SLSA Child Protection Policy

Nobbys SLSC is dedicated to fostering a secure, encouraging, and fun atmosphere for children through the Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA) Safeguarding Children and Young People Program, consistent with the SLSA Child Safe Policy. This program underscores the critical need to protect individuals under 18 years old from abuse, harm, and exploitation.

Every club member has access to resources, webinars, and online training designed to establish clear standards for appropriate conduct when interacting with children and young people. Social Media Policy

Nobbys SLSC members and the wider community can connect through social media, forming online groups around shared interests to create, share, and enjoy content. As a member-based organisation, Nobbys SLSC, in collaboration with Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA) and Surf Life Saving NSW (SLSNSW), acknowledges the valuable role of social media as a key tool for member engagement and enrichment.

We Are a Good Sports Club

We are proud to announce that Nobbys SLSC has now reached Level 3 accreditation as part of the Good Sports program. Good Sports works with clubs to help them provide safe and healthy environments for families to play sport.
